On March 7, the eve of the International Day of Women, HEAL Africa was featured on the PBS Newshour. The award winning program is known for their 35 years of solid, reliable reporting that has made the PBS NewsHour one of the most trusted news programs in television. The HEAL Africa piece was an overview of the work of HEAL Africa and the organization’s response to the devastating violence caused in the ongoing conflict in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It also highlights the story of one patient, Anonciata, as she struggles to recover from a brutal attack by local militia. Click here to watch the piece. HEAL Africa Featured on the PBS Newshour

I was quite impressed with the story by PBS NewsHour. Heal Africa appears to be doing tremendous work in the Congo. I have a friend who is a Catholic missionary in Western Congo; she has shared many stories with me over the years. May your work continue to go well, and may the people you touch prosper.
Dr Joe, Paluku and family, and Nadine and family,
You are in our prayers as you grieve your wife and Mother’s homegoing. She accomplished so much for the Lord and for DRCongo. You are blessed to have such memories. She is home in heaven where we shall all be together with our loved ones and friends in Christ for all eternity with the God who loved us beyond comprehension. May the God of all comfort bring comfort and peace to your lives at this time. With love in Christ, Herb and Ellen Cook
