JUNE 2013 – 103 WOMEN (INCLUDING 2 PYGMIES) RECEIVED FISTULA REPAIR OPERATIONS IN WAMBA (ORIENTAL PROVINCE) , DRC

During a recent trip in June 2013 to Wamba, Oriental Province, a mobile urogynecology surgery team from HEAL Africa completed 103 repairs of vesico-vaginal fistula (VVF) and recto-vaginal (LIF). Among the treated patients, there were two Pygmy women. JUIN 2013- 103 FEMMES (DONT 2 PYGMEES) RECOIVENT L’OPERATION DE REPARATION DE FISTULES A WAMBA (PROVINCE ORIENTALE)

Lors de  son récent séjour  en juin 2013 à Wamba, Province  Orientale, une équipe mobile de chirurgie uro-gynécologique de HEAL Africa  a réalisé  103 réparations des fistules vesico-vaginales (FVV) et recto-vaginale (FRV). Parmi les patientes soignées,  il y avait  deux  femmes pygmées. C’est la première fois que les femmes pygmées bénéficient  d’une réparation de fistule, depuis la longue expérience de HEAL Africa de plus de 10 ans dans le domaine.
